Bottega Limoncino (700 ml)
฿1,000
Bottega, the Treviso-based producer founded in 1977 and better known for its gold-foil Prosecco, built its liqueur range around the same philosophy it applies to grappa: single-origin botanical sourcing and cold maceration to preserve volatile aromatics. Limoncino is produced by macerating fresh lemon peels — sourced from sun-intensive southern Italian groves, primarily Sicily and the Amalfi coast — in a neutral grain spirit base, extracting essential oils without heat distillation, which would drive off the most delicate citrus terpenes. The result is bottled at 30% ABV, placing it at the lighter end of the limoncello/limoncino category and making the sweetness more restrained than the traditional 25–28% Campanian style. What separates this expression from commodity limoncello is the cold-maceration protocol and the Bottega house insistence on not using artificial flavouring or colouring — the pale straw-yellow colour is entirely natural. Serve well-chilled straight from the freezer, or use as a long-drink base over ice.
