Gordon's Dry Gin (700 ml)
฿869
Gordon's traces its origin to Alexander Gordon's Bermondsey distillery, founded in 1769, where the recipe was deliberately kept simple to let juniper dominate at a time when most London gins were adulterated with turpentine and sulfuric acid. That founding philosophy — juniper first, everything else secondary — remains the production mandate today.
Produced in England using a continuous column still process, Gordon's London Dry Gin is made to the London Dry specification, meaning all botanicals must be added during distillation and no flavouring may be added post-distillation beyond water and a small amount of sugar. The botanical bill centres on juniper berries, coriander seed, angelica root, and liquorice root, distilled to a base spirit before dilution to 37.5% ABV — the EU minimum for gin.
What distinguishes this expression within the London Dry category is its position as the world's best-selling London Dry Gin at a sub-premium price point, maintaining a legally compliant, additive-free recipe that many craft competitors at triple the price cannot claim to outperform on botanical purity. The lower ABV versus the original 47.3% export-strength formulation is the one concession to modern commercial production.
