Barossa Shiraz
฿฿฿฿
Winzer Stolz sources fruit from the warm, north-facing red-loam soils of Barossa Valley's mid-slope vineyards, where diurnal temperature swings between 35–40°C days and cool nights concentrate phenolic ripeness. The 2019 vintage (typical release) employs extended maceration on skins for 14–16 days in open-top wooden vats, followed by 18 months in French and American oak (40% new), building structure without masking primary fruit character. The winery's house style resists over-ripeness; alcohol sits at 14.5% ABV, a restraint uncommon in Barossa. Drinking window: 2024–2032.
