Château Smith Haut Lafitte's 2017 Pessac-Léognan is a classically structured Bordeaux red blend anchored by 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 35% Merlot, with supporting Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. The wine displays a medium-full body with medium-high tannins and balanced acidity, offering primary notes of blackcurrant and dark plum fruit. Secondary oak and cedar notes provide structure and elegance, while tertiary tobacco and leather complexity emerges with bottle age.
