Johnnie Walker A Song of Ice (750 ml)
฿1,699
Johnnie Walker's A Song of Ice was conceived as the official whisky of House Stark and the frozen landscapes beyond the Wall — a licensing collaboration with HBO's Game of Thrones — but the liquid brief was grounded in a genuine technical decision: lead with Clynelish, the waxy, coastal Highland malt that the Walker blending team has long associated with cold-climate austerity and northern character. Clynelish sits on the Sutherland coast, Scotland's far north, where Atlantic winds and hard mineral-rich water shape a distillate of unusual waxy texture and briny depth — qualities that distinguish it from the sweeter Speyside heart of most Walker expressions. The blend deliberately pulls back on the smoky Caol Ila contribution that anchors Black Label, instead amplifying Clynelish's pale-fruit and sea-salt register, with grain whisky providing structural lightness. Bottled at 40.2% ABV and chill-filtered in line with standard Walker production at Leven, Fife. What sets this expression apart within the Walker range is its single-malt-forward architecture: Clynelish is foregrounded to a degree not found in any other standard Walker blend, making this one of the few accessible entry points to that distillery's character without purchasing a Clynelish single malt. No age statement; non-vintage by design.
