The blend draws on over 50 grain and malt whiskies, with Miltonduff and Glenburgie distilleries serving as the malt heart, both operating in Speyside's sheltered Lossie valley where a cool, damp microclimate slows maturation and preserves delicate cereal character. Maturation is carried out in a combination of American oak ex-bourbon casks and Spanish oak ex-sherry butts, the bourbon wood contributing vanilla and coconut fractions while the sherry wood adds dried fruit depth.
