Kah takes its name from the Mayan word for "life," and each bottle is a hand-painted ceramic skull referencing Día de los Muertos iconography — a deliberate statement that the vessel itself is part of the product's identity, not packaging afterthought. The agave used is Blue Weber Tequilana, sourced from the Los Altos (Highlands) region of Jalisco, where red iron-rich clay soils and elevations above 2,000 metres produce piñas with higher natural sugar content and a distinctly floral, fruit-forward character compared to lowland agave. After harvesting mature agave at 8–10 years, the piñas are cooked in traditional ovens, then fermented and double-distilled. The spirit is then rested in American oak barrels for the minimum reposado period (2–11 months), which imparts vanilla and light caramel without overwhelming the agave's inherent brightness.
