A total rock star wine, the NV Grand Cru Blanc de Noirs Les Crayeres VV emerges from the old - vine Crayeres lieu - dit in Ambonnay. Rich, deep and explosive in the glass, the Crayeres boasts superb intensity and richness, with all of the weight of these 70+ year - old vines and 60 months of sur - lie aging the glass. Wild flowers, honey, red berries, smoke, licorice, game and chalk are pushed forward in a warm, resonant Champagne that captures the essence of Ambonnay. Slightly Oxidative notes from the 64 months the wine spent on its lees add character, while a touch of oak is barely noticeable and only in the wine's overall feel.
