Ornellaia continues to define the pinnacle of Italian fine wine, and the 2022 vintage, titled “La Determinazione” (Determination), reflects the resilience required to navigate a challenging growing season.

The year was marked by heat and drought conditions, demanding precise vineyard management and careful selection. This theme of determination is expressed both in the vineyard and in the wine—where concentration meets control, and power is balanced by freshness.

As part of Ornellaia’s iconic Vendemmia d’Artista project, the label is designed by a contemporary artist, turning each bottle into a collectible piece that connects wine with art and storytelling.

The Bolgheri terroir—gravel soils, coastal breezes, and Mediterranean warmth—provides the ideal environment for Bordeaux varieties to achieve both ripeness and structure. In 2022, the wine shows intensity and depth while maintaining Ornellaia’s signature elegance.
