Reserva Pinot Noir Colchagua Valley
฿
Reserva.
Veramonte's Reserva Pinot Noir originates from Colchagua Valley, one of Chile's premier cool-climate regions positioned between the Andes and Pacific influence. The vineyard sits at moderate elevation with diurnal temperature swings that extend ripening and preserve natural acidity—a critical factor for Pinot Noir's aromatic complexity.
The wine undergoes temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel, followed by aging in French oak for 12 months, allowing subtle wood integration without masking varietal character. This restraint in oak regime is deliberate: it permits the wine's red-fruit core and structural elegance to remain the primary narrative.
The special feature here is Veramonte's commitment to sustainable viticulture across their Colchagua holdings, which influences harvest timing toward optimal phenolic ripeness rather than maximum sugar extraction—a choice that yields wines with tension and food-friendliness over extraction.
Drink now through 2028. The wine reaches optimal balance within 2–3 years of release.
