Haras de Pirque By Antinori Cabernet Sauvignon Hussonet
฿฿
Haras de Pirque represents Antinori's singular Chilean expression, established in the Maipo Valley south of Santiago. The estate sits on volcanic soils derived from ancient lava flows, with elevation ranging 500–700 meters, where cool Pacific air moderates ripening across the growing season.
This Cabernet Sauvignon undergoes temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel, followed by 18 months in French oak (mix of new and neutral vessels). The extended oak contact builds structural complexity without overwhelming the wine's mineral core—a signature of Antinori's restrained hand in the New World.
The volcanic substrate imparts a distinctive graphite and slate minerality that anchors the dark fruit profile, distinguishing Hussonet from riper, fruit-forward Maipo competitors. Drinking window: 2024–2032.
