Vino Rosato D’Italia
฿
Astrale's rosato originates in Puglia's sun-baked Salento peninsula, where limestone-rich soils and Adriatic breezes shape the character of indigenous red varieties. The wine is produced from Negroamaro and Primitivo grapes harvested at optimal ripeness, employing brief skin contact (maceration) to extract color and tannin structure without heavy extraction. Fermentation occurs in temperature-controlled stainless steel, preserving aromatic freshness and acidity. The result is a dry rosato of medium body and crisp acidity—neither frivolous nor heavy—with mineral salinity from the region's calcareous terroir. This expression avoids the candy-sweet profile common to mass-market pinks, instead anchoring itself in Puglia's gastronomic tradition of seafood and grilled vegetables. Drink current vintage, ideally within 2–3 years of release.
