Fever-Tree Premium Refreshingly Light Indian Tonic Water (200 ml) (Pack 24 Bottles)
฿1,729
When Charles Rolls and Tim Warrillow traced quinine supply chains through British Library archives back to 1620, they located one of the last surviving plantations of original Cinchona Ledgeriana trees on the Rwanda–Democratic Republic of Congo border — the same species that defined Victorian-era tonic water before commodity producers switched to cheaper bark varieties. That single sourcing decision is the structural backbone of every Fever-Tree tonic.
The base water is drawn from the Elmhurst spring in rural Staffordshire, chosen for its softness, which allows the quinine's natural bitterness and the citrus oils to register cleanly rather than being muted by mineral load. No artificial sweeteners, no sodium benzoate, and no synthetic aromatics appear in the formulation — a deliberate break from the mass-market category standard.
The Refreshingly Light expression reduces cane sugar relative to the flagship Premium Indian Tonic while preserving the full botanical architecture: Cinchona Ledgeriana quinine extract blended with citrus oils and Staffordshire spring water, carbonated to a fine, high-pressure bubble structure designed to carry aromatic lift rather than overwhelm it.
The special feature here is the caloric reduction achieved without any sweetener substitution — a formulation constraint most competitors solve with aspartame or acesulfame-K, which Fever-Tree refuses categorically. For gin-and-tonic service, the lower residual sweetness keeps the spirit's botanical profile in the foreground across the full length of the drink.
