Glen Grant was founded in 1840 in Rothes, Speyside, by brothers John and James Grant, who engineered unusually tall, slender stills with purifiers — a deliberate design choice that strips heavier congeners and produces a characteristically light, clean new-make spirit. Rothes sits in the heart of Speyside, where the River Spey moderates temperature swings and the distillery draws from its own spring water source. The gentle microclimate and consistent humidity support steady, even maturation.

Arboralis is matured in ex-bourbon American oak casks, which impart vanilla and stone-fruit character to the already delicate Glen Grant spirit. The no-age-statement release blends casks selected specifically to deliver consistent approachability, bottled at 40% ABV. The tall-still purifier system means less sulfurous and meaty character than most Speyside peers, keeping the profile clean and fruit-forward.
