Vodka (6 L) (Illuminated)

When Polmos Żyrardów — a distillery built in 1910 on the Masovian Plain by brothers Dawid and Mejer Pines — launched Belvedere in the US in 1996, no luxury vodka category existed. It had to be created. The vehicle was a deliberate agronomic choice: exclusive use of Dankowskie Gold rye, a heritage Polish cultivar sourced under long-term contracts from 7–10 named farms, delivering the grain-forward character — almond, white pepper, velvety mouthfeel — that neutral grain spirits cannot replicate.

Water is drawn from two dedicated artesian wells (41.5 m and 50.5 m deep) beneath the Żyrardów site, filtered through 17 quaternary glacial terraces and an 11-step purification system including reverse osmosis, arriving at hardness zero and pH 7.4. Rye is fermented on-farm with proprietary distiller's yeast for ~72 hours at 35°C to 6–8% ABV, then rectified at Polmos Żyrardów through a three-column system before activated charcoal and cellulose filtration and bottling at 40% ABV — no sugar, no glycerin, no additives, as mandated by the Polska Wódka protected appellation. The 6-litre Illuminated format presents the same core spirit in a backlit architectural bottle — an outsized format that makes the grain provenance and production discipline impossible to overlook.
