That same distillery, now at 31 Pijlsteeg near Dam Square, produces this wheat-based vodka as a deliberate counterpoint to the house's more celebrated genever: where the genever carries malt-wine weight and grain complexity, the vodka is engineered for neutrality. 100% wheat grain bill, column-distilled, charcoal-filtered, bottled at 40% ABV — the production philosophy here is reduction rather than expression, stripping the spirit to a clean, grain-soft base. The house motto Semper Idem (Always the Same) governs the blending and filtration protocol at the Avandis C.V. facility in Zoetermeer, where finishing and bottling occur. What makes this expression unusual within the Bols portfolio is precisely its restraint: the same copper-pot infrastructure that produces triple-distilled malt wine at 47% ABV for genever is bypassed entirely here in favour of continuous column distillation — a deliberate category separation.
