Finest Caribbean (700 ml)
฿฿
Black Tot takes its name from the Royal Navy's daily rum ration, abolished on 31 July 1970 — a date mourned as Black Tot Day. The brand was built to reconstruct that multi-origin blending tradition, drawing on distillates from across the Caribbean rather than a single estate. The blend sources rums from Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica, and Trinidad, each island contributing a distinct distillation character: column-still lightness from Barbados and Trinidad, the dense pot-still weight of Guyana's Demerara tradition, and Jamaican high-ester pot-still rum for aromatic lift. Maturation combines ex-bourbon barrels and ex-sherry casks, layering vanilla and dried-fruit depth before blending. The final assembly is bottled at 46.2% ABV, non-chill-filtered, preserving the natural oils and texture that chill-filtration would strip. What sets Finest Caribbean apart within the Black Tot range is its position as the entry expression designed to replicate the everyday Navy blend profile — accessible in price but built on the same multi-origin, multi-cask architecture as the ultra-premium Last Consignment releases. Drink now through the next several years; the ABV and blending structure mean it holds well once opened.
