Plantation 3 Stars White Rum (700 ml)
฿1,389
Alexandre Gabriel built the 3 Stars White as a deliberate argument: that white rum deserves the same multi-terroir thinking applied to aged expressions. The blend draws on three distinct distillation traditions — Barbados column still from Stade's West Indies Rum Distillery (WIRD) at Blackrock, St. Michael, a coastal seafront site on coral-limestone geology where Atlantic winds circulate through the aging warehouse; Jamaican pot still distillate from Long Pond or Clarendon, contributing high-ester funk; and Trinidad column still spirit for structural lightness. WIRD, founded 1893, houses some of the world's oldest operational rum pot stills and produces approximately 85% of Barbados's rum — its coral-limestone terroir imparts a dry, chalky mineral lift that anchors the blend's backbone. The rums are unaged or only lightly aged, then blended and bottled at 41.2% ABV without the double-ageing Cognac finish applied to Plantation's darker expressions. The special feature here is the deliberate omission of the house's signature technique: no French oak, no dosage — just raw terroir contrast between three islands. The result is a white rum that reads as a study in origin rather than a finished, polished product, making it the most transparent expression in the Plantation portfolio.
