Tanqueray Flor de Sevilla (700 ml)
฿1,299
Tanqueray Flor de Sevilla takes its name from the Seville bitter orange — Citrus aurantium — a fruit prized for its high-acid, low-sugar flesh that has flavoured marmalade and liqueurs across southern Spain for centuries. Tanqueray's London distillery, operating since 1830, built this expression around that specific citrus character rather than the sweeter navel varieties used in most orange-forward gins.
The base spirit is distilled in Tanqueray's signature copper pot stills, then re-distilled with Seville bitter orange botanicals alongside the house four-pillar botanical bill (juniper, coriander, angelica root, liquorice). The result sits at 41.3% ABV — lower than the flagship London Dry's 47.3% — and carries a measurable residual sweetness from added orange distillate, technically placing it outside London Dry classification.
What separates Flor de Sevilla from the broader flavoured-gin category is its deliberate use of bitter rather than sweet orange, which preserves the juniper spine while delivering a marmalade-like tartness. The gin is not chill-filtered to the same aggressive standard as many mass-market expressions, retaining texture. Drink over ice or in a spritz with tonic; the bitterness holds its shape against carbonation.
