Piper-Heidsieck 2014 Vintage Brut (750 ml)
฿3,295
Founded in 1785 by Florens-Louis Heidsieck, the house built its identity on Pinot Noir-led assemblage long before fruit-forward Champagne became fashionable — a structural conviction that makes the 2014 Vintage Brut its most compelling argument yet. Sourced from 110+ crus across Montagne de Reims, Vallée de la Marne, Côte des Blancs, and Côte des Bar, the fruit grows over Champagne's classic deep-chalk subsoil, which disciplines ripeness, sharpens acidity, and imprints the chalky mineral tension that defines the house signature. Each cru and each variety is vinified separately in stainless-steel tanks — no oak at any stage — preserving the site-specific character that blind-tasting assemblage then reassembles. Malolactic fermentation is blocked (in part or fully), a deliberate counter-move to the autolytic richness favoured by prestige peers, locking in fruit purity and the taut acid frame that makes 2014 so age-worthy. The 2014 vintage delivered natural structure and precise fruit definition across Champagne, and Piper's expression of it won Supreme World Champion at the 2025 Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championships in magnum format — an accolade that places it above every other vintage Champagne judged that year. That result, combined with the house's lowest-dosage philosophy under chef de cave Émilien Boutillat, points to a wine still building through the late 2020s.
