Antinori Marchese Cuvee Royale Franciacorta DOCG
฿฿
Antinori's Marchese Cuvée Royale represents the historic Florentine house's entry into Franciacorta, Italy's premier traditional-method sparkling wine region. The vineyard sites sit on the glacial moraines and limestone soils of the Franciacorta DOCG zone in Lombardy, where cool Alpine influence moderates ripening across elevations between 200–300 metres.
Production follows Champenoise protocol: hand-harvested fruit undergoes primary fermentation in temperature-controlled steel, followed by secondary fermentation and aging in bottle for a minimum of 30 months on the lees. This extended contact with spent yeast develops the characteristic brioche and almond complexity typical of the appellation. Dosage is calibrated to preserve the wine's natural acidity without excess sweetness.
The Marchese Cuvée Royale distinguishes itself through Antinori's multi-vineyard blending philosophy—a non-vintage composition that prioritizes consistency and house style over single-site expression. Disgorged bottles show the precision of a major producer committed to the region's technical standards.
Drink 2024–2032 for optimal freshness and bead structure.
