Toscana IGT
฿฿฿
Bertinga sources fruit from the heart of Chianti Classico, where volcanic and clay-rich soils at moderate elevation produce Sangiovese with natural acidity and mineral tension. The winemaking emphasizes extended maceration on Sangiovese to extract tannin structure, followed by aging in French oak (mix of new and neutral barrels) that adds subtle spice without masking terroir expression. This is a wine built for bottle age rather than immediate consumption—the tannin framework and acidity suggest 5–10 years of evolution ahead. Current drinking shows dark cherry and dried herb character with a firm, linear finish typical of classico-designated Tuscan reds.
