Bourgogne Pinot Fin
฿฿฿฿
Domaine Arnoux-Lachaux sits on the eastern slope of Vosne-Romanée, where Jurassic limestone and clay soils at 250–280 metres elevation define a microclimate of moderate ripening and natural acidity retention. The domaine's Bourgogne Pinot Fin is a regional-level expression—a deliberate step below the village and premier cru holdings—yet it captures the house signature: whole-bunch fermentation in open wooden vats, 12–14 months in used Burgundian barrels (20–30% new wood), and minimal intervention. The wine spends time on fine lees without racking, building textural complexity from extended contact. This cuvée functions as a transparency tool: it reveals how limestone-driven Pinot Noir from the Vosne slope expresses itself without the extraction or oak weight of higher-tier bottlings. Drinking window: 2–6 years from release, though the wine's natural acidity and mid-weight structure reward patience through a decade in cool cellars.
