Castello Banfi's Centine is a Sangiovese-dominant Super Tuscan blend from Montalcino, combining 60% Sangiovese with 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Merlot. The wine opens with ripe red and dark plum fruit, supported by blackcurrant depth and subtle herbaceous notes. Cedar and spice emerge on the mid-palate, while earthy undertones and light leather suggest modest age-worthiness. Medium-full body and balanced tannin make this a versatile food wine, equally at home with tomato-based pasta, grilled meats, or mushroom dishes.
