Johnnie Walker Red Label (1.75 L)
฿2,099
When John Walker opened his Kilmarnock grocery in 1820, he applied the same cross-origin blending logic he used for tea — eliminating batch variation by drawing from multiple regions simultaneously. That founding insight is still the structural principle of Red Label, which assembles over 30 malt and grain whiskies sourced from all four major Scottish regions: Speyside, Highland, Islay, and Lowland. No single-region producer can replicate this architecture by definition.
The blend's backbone follows the house's pan-Scotland formula: Cardhu (Speyside) contributes honeyed, fruit-forward sweetness as the 'heart'; Caol Ila (Islay) delivers clean maritime peat smoke; east-coast grain whiskies from column stills add textural lightness and accessibility. The result is a deliberate threading of smoke, sweetness, and cereal spice — not a grain-heavy light blend, not a malt-forward richness, but a calibrated middle path. Matured in ex-bourbon American oak and ex-Sherry European oak casks to a minimum of 3 years, then chill-filtered and bottled at 40% ABV. The 1.75 L format delivers the full house character at volume — the same recipe, no reformulation.
Red Label's special distinction within the Johnnie Walker range is its role as the widest-sourced expression: the 30+ component count draws from more distilleries than any other label in the core lineup, making it the broadest geographic cross-section of Scotch in a single bottle.
