That founding transgression remains the product's defining logic. Cameronbridge distillery anchors the blend, with parcels drawn from multiple grain distilleries — typically three to seven single-grain components per release — selected for cask quality rather than distillery prestige. Maturation averages approximately 23 years across components, drawing on first-fill American oak ex-bourbon hogsheads and antique sherry casks, the long contact time coaxing grain whisky's column-still character — coconut, vanilla, toffee — into something architecturally complex. Bottled at 46% ABV, non-chill-filtered, with no added colouring, the texture retains the natural oiliness that chill filtration would strip.
