Compass Box No Name (700 ml) (Limited Edition)
฿14,399
John Glaser founded Compass Box in 2000 with a winemaker's logic applied to Scotch — selecting and assembling casks the way a Burgundian négociant sources parcels, then bottling without compromise. No Name carries that philosophy to its most literal extreme: a limited edition that refuses even the identity of a label, a deliberate provocation from the house that twice clashed with the Scotch Whisky Association — over French oak inner staves in 2005–06, and over full component transparency in 2015.
Compass Box owns no distillery. Component malts and grains are sourced from distilleries across the Scottish mainland and islands — the house holds maturing stocks in bonded Scottish warehouses and commissions custom-toasted French oak casks with specified toast levels, a technique that defines their house signature and that the SWA once moved to ban. Bottled at 46% ABV, non-chill-filtered, with no added colouring, the whisky retains the texture and natural hue that most commercial blends sacrifice for shelf consistency. As a non-vintage, recipe-driven limited release, No Name sits outside the standard Compass Box lineup — making it a collector's document of the blending room at a specific, unrepeatable moment.
