The Founder's Reserve is a no-age-statement expression built on first-fill American oak casks (ex-bourbon sourced from Jack Daniel's, Jim Beam, and Heaven Hill) with a virgin oak finish, bottled at 40% ABV, chill-filtered. Fermentation runs approximately 48 hours in wooden washbacks — retained over stainless steel specifically for the floral, estery character they generate — before slow double distillation with a narrow heart cut of roughly 18–20% of total distillate. What sets Founder's Reserve apart within the core range is the virgin oak component: where the 12 Year Old relies on refill and first-fill ex-bourbon alone, the added virgin wood here pushes coconut and vanilla extraction forward without age-statement constraints.
