This Dufftown 18 Years is exactly that: a single cask, distilled at Dufftown distillery in Speyside, selected by Hunter Laing's monthly tasting panel from company stocks and bottled without intervention. Dufftown sits in the heart of the Dullan Water valley, where the soft, mineral-light Speyside water and the distillery's characteristic worm-tub condensers produce a spirit with waxy, orchard-fruit density — 18 years of maturation deepens that into dried stone fruit and cereal richness. Bottled at 50% ABV, non-chill-filtered and with no caramel colouring added — a deliberate house standard that separates OMC from peers defaulting to full cask strength, preserving texture without the raw heat of an uncut barrel. The specific cask type and number are printed on the label, the only true identifiers for a bottling that, once exhausted, cannot be reproduced.
