Provenance Mannochmore 14 Years (Speyside) (700 ml)
฿5,429
Douglas Laing & Co., founded in Glasgow in 1948, built its Provenance range as a deliberate act of transparency in a category long dominated by opacity — every bottle prints the source distillery, cask number, cask type, and exact distillation and bottling dates on the label. Mannochmore, a Speyside distillery known for producing a lighter, grassy, floral new-make, is rarely seen as a named single cask release at this age, making this 14-year expression an unusually candid look at the distillery's character. Maturation took place in a refill hogshead — ex-bourbon, used wood — which keeps oak extraction restrained and allows the distillery's own spirit signature to remain the dominant voice rather than cask influence. The whisky is bottled at 46% ABV, non-chill-filtered and without added colouring, preserving texture and natural hue. What sets this apart within the Provenance range is the 14-year age statement: at the outer edge of what Provenance typically releases (6–14 years), this expression occupies the threshold where refill wood has had time to integrate without overwhelming, and Speyside's characteristic cereal and orchard-fruit character has had room to develop depth. Yield is strictly limited to a single cask — typically 300–850 bottles — making this a non-repeatable snapshot of one moment at Mannochmore.
