Johnnie Walker Blue Label (750 ml)
฿9,999
When John Walker opened his Kilmarnock grocery in 1820, his tea-blending instinct — that combining sources across regions and seasons eliminates batch variation — became the founding logic of modern blended Scotch. Blue Label is where that logic reaches its most demanding application: only 1 in every 10,000 casks in Diageo's reserve of approximately 10 million oak vessels qualifies for inclusion, a selection rate that makes this the most rigorously curated expression in the standard range.
The blend draws from Diageo's pan-Scotland distillery network — Cardhu (Speyside) anchors the honeyed core, Caol Ila (Islay) threads in clean maritime peat, and Clynelish (Highland) contributes its distinctive waxy coastal depth — with additional rare-cask contributions that shift by batch, occasionally including whisky from permanently closed 'ghost' distilleries such as Brora and Port Ellen. Maturation is in ex-bourbon American oak and ex-Sherry European oak casks; Blue Label carries no age statement, as the selection criterion is cask quality rather than time. Bottled at 40% ABV, chill-filtered, it is the only expression in the core range where ghost-distillery whisky may appear without a dedicated limited-edition designation — making it a historically significant collector's category, not merely a luxury tier. No vintage is declared; the blend is engineered for absolute batch-to-batch consistency.
