Phraya Elements Rum (700 ml)
฿985
Phraya Elements is produced by the Sangsom group at their distillery in central Thailand, drawing on sugarcane molasses sourced from Thailand's tropical growing regions. The brand takes its name from the Chao Phraya River, the waterway that historically moved Thai agricultural commodities — including sugarcane — to market, anchoring the rum's identity in local raw material rather than imported tradition.
The liquid is built from a blend of pot-still and column-still distillates, a deliberate choice that layers the textural weight of pot-still character against the cleaner, higher-proof output of continuous distillation. Maturation takes place in American oak casks, which in Thailand's year-round heat accelerates wood interaction significantly compared to temperate-climate aging, compressing years of oak extraction into a shorter calendar period. The rum is bottled at 40% ABV.
What separates Elements from most entry-level Asian rums is its explicit blending philosophy — the "elements" framing signals a structured, recipe-driven assembly rather than a single-distillate expression, giving the blender latitude to maintain consistency across batches while managing the intensity that tropical aging delivers.
