Sakura Vermouth (500 ml)
฿฿
Mancino was founded in Turin, the birthplace of vermouth, where the tradition of aromatising local wine with botanicals dates to the 18th century. The Sakura expression breaks from that canon by centering the botanical bill on Japanese cherry blossom — a deliberate collaboration with Japanese bartending culture that anchors a floral, delicate profile rarely attempted in the category.
The base is Piedmontese Moscato, chosen for its naturally low tannin and aromatic lift, which allows the sakura petals to read clearly rather than being buried under grippy structure. The wine's native sweetness reduces the need for heavy sugar addition, keeping the palate from becoming cloying.
Sakura petals are macerated directly into the Moscato base, with the botanical blend also incorporating traditional vermouth herbs and roots. The result is bottled at 18% ABV — standard fortified vermouth strength — in a 500 ml format.
What separates this expression from Mancino's core range is the single-origin floral focus: sakura is not a supporting botanical but the structural spine of the blend, an approach with almost no precedent in Italian vermouth production.
Best consumed within 2–3 months of opening, kept refrigerated, where the delicate blossom character remains most vivid.
