The melon expression sits within the brand's core cordial range, built on a neutral grain spirit base and sweetened with sugar syrup before melon flavouring is introduced through maceration and/or flavour compounding, a standard production method for this category.

Schiedam's industrial distilling infrastructure, rather than agricultural terroir, defines De Kuyper's production context: large-scale column distillation yields a clean, flavour-neutral spirit canvas that allows the melon character to read without interference from base-spirit congeners. At 20% ABV, the liqueur sits at the lower end of the cordial strength range, making it more mixable than sipping-strength alternatives.
