Edinburgh Gin was founded in 2010 in Scotland's capital, a city with a documented distilling tradition stretching back centuries — and the Raspberry expression was built specifically to capture the character of Scottish-grown raspberries, a fruit the cool, long-daylight growing season of central Scotland renders unusually tart and aromatic. Real Scottish raspberries are macerated directly into Edinburgh Gin's London Dry-style base spirit, a process that extracts colour and fruit oils rather than relying on artificial flavouring or essence. The result is bottled at 20% ABV, a deliberate reduction from the base gin's strength that keeps the fruit character vivid without heat. No artificial colours or flavourings are used — the deep rose hue comes entirely from the fruit itself. What separates this from the crowded flavoured-gin shelf is that the juniper backbone of the original distillate remains legible beneath the raspberry, preventing it from collapsing into a cordial. Drink young and well-chilled; the fresh berry character does not benefit from extended cellaring.
