Louis Roederer Rose Vintage 2015
฿6,899
Louis Roederer's Rosé Vintage is one of the few large-maison Champagnes built entirely from estate-owned fruit — every grape in this 2015 comes from Roederer's own Grand and Premier Cru parcels across Montagne de Reims and Côte des Blancs, a grower-level discipline almost without precedent at this production scale. Chef de Cave Jean-Baptiste Lécaillon vinifies each parcel separately in small stainless-steel tanks or oak vats sized to just one or two hectares, preserving individual plot identity before the final blend is assembled. The blend runs ~70% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay, with colour extracted via the saignée method rather than red-wine addition — a deliberate choice that integrates structure and pigment simultaneously. Critically, ~20% of the blend is oak-aged with malolactic fermentation blocked, locking in chalk-driven acidity as a structural backbone even in a warm year. The 2015 growing season delivered generous ripeness and softer natural acidity than the austere 2012 or rain-saved 2014, producing a Rosé Vintage with more immediate fruit weight and a rounder arc — the rare Roederer vintage designed for drinking in its first decade rather than demanding a decade of cellaring. Lees aging of approximately four years followed by six months post-disgorgement has knitted the dosage into the wine's texture.
