Cabo De Hornos

Cabo de Hornos is born from the volcanic heart of the Cachapoal-Andes Valley, where San Pedro has defied the traditional Chilean central valley norms by planting at the extreme foothills of the Andes. Here, the vines are sculpted by high-altitude winds and rooted in fractured volcanic rock, a terroir that demands a resilient, character-driven expression of Cabernet Sauvignon. Named in honor of the intrepid explorers who braved the treacherous Cape Horn, this wine mirrors that same spirit of adventure and respect for the fierce southern elements.

The 2021 vintage opens with a sophisticated aromatic display of graphite, black cherry, and cassis, seamlessly intertwined with whispers of cedar and tobacco. On the palate, a vibrant tension provides a structural spine, lifting the concentrated dark fruit and leading into a texture of finely polished velvet. As the journey concludes, notes of cocoa powder and dusty spice emerge, lingering through a persistent, mineral-etched finish that speaks to its mountain origin.
