Votiva Taurasi Riserva DOCG
฿฿
SaleUrciuolo Vini's Taurasi Riserva originates from the Taurasi DOCG zone in Irpinia, Campania's high-altitude volcanic plateau (400–600m elevation). The vineyard soils are rich in volcanic minerals and pumice, characteristic of the ancient Campanian volcanic field that shaped this terroir for millennia.
The wine is produced from 100% Aglianico grapes, vinified with extended maceration of 20–30 days to extract the varietal's natural tannin structure. Fermentation occurs in temperature-controlled stainless steel, followed by 36 months minimum aging in neutral oak casks (as mandated by DOCG regulations for Riserva designation). The wine then rests in bottle for additional complexity before release.
Taurasi Riserva represents the apex expression of Aglianico—a varietal capable of 20+ years evolution. This cuvée balances the volcanic minerality of Irpinia with the structured tannins and dark fruit intensity that define the region's finest reds.
Vintage 2018 or later recommended; optimal drinking window 2025–2045.
