Paraíso
฿฿฿
SaleLuigi Bosca, founded in 1844, remains one of Mendoza's oldest continuously operating estates. The Paraíso bottling represents the producer's commitment to Malbec-led blends from Maipú's gravelly, well-drained terroir at 800–900m elevation, where diurnal temperature swings sharpen acidity and deepen color extraction.
The blend undergoes fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel, followed by aging in French oak (composition and duration specific to vintage). This regimen builds structure without masking the dark-fruit character native to Maipú's mineral soils.
Paraíso distinguishes itself within Luigi Bosca's portfolio as a mid-tier expression that prioritizes varietal authenticity over oak dominance—a deliberate choice by the winery to showcase terroir over technique.
Current vintage displays the ripe black-plum and graphite minerality typical of Maipú Malbec, with sufficient tannin grip to support 8–12 years of cellaring. Drink now through 2035.
