Eugenio Collavini's Forresco Rosso is a Friuli-Venezia Giulia blend anchored by two Refosco clones (80%) and Pignolo (20%), crafted in the Colli Orientali del Friuli subregion. The 2013 vintage expresses the region's characteristic red-fruit intensity and peppery spice, with a medium-full body and balanced tannin structure that rewards both near-term enjoyment and modest cellaring. Dark cherry and plum dominate the palate, supported by herbaceous and black-pepper notes; mineral and earthy undertones emerge on the finish, reflecting the terroir's limestone-rich soils.
