Edi Simcic's Kolos is a Bordeaux-style red blend from Slovenia's Goriška Brda region, built on Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc. The 2015 vintage displays a medium-full body with dominant dark plum and berry character on the nose, supported by hints of cranberry and subtle herbaceous notes. On the palate, the wine delivers a juicy, well-integrated texture with soft tannins and a clean finish. The secondary vanilla undertones add roundness without overwhelming the fruit-forward profile, making this a versatile food wine suitable for grilled meats, braised dishes, and hearty pasta preparations.
