Tenuta Guado al Tasso By Antinori Il Bruciato Bolgheri

Il Bruciato originates from Tenuta Guado al Tasso, Antinori's flagship property in Bolgheri, a narrow coastal corridor in southern Tuscany where Atlantic winds moderate Mediterranean heat. The vineyard sits on alluvial soils with limestone substructure, elevation 80–120 meters, with the Tyrrhenian Sea 8 kilometers west providing diurnal temperature modulation that extends ripening into autumn.

The wine is a Cabernet Sauvignon-dominant blend (typically 70–80% Cabernet, with Merlot and Petit Verdot), fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel and aged 18 months in French oak (mix of new and neutral barrels). The maritime terroir imparts a characteristic mineral salinity and herbal precision absent from inland Tuscan reds, while the extended growing season builds ripe dark fruit without overripeness.
