Fratelli Ponte Brachetto Fiore Di Loto DOC

−20%Giuseppe Ponte established the Gorzano cellar in 1968 in San Damiano d'Asti, planting the family's identity firmly between Asti and Alba — a corridor where Brachetto, one of Piedmont's most ancient aromatic red varieties, has been cultivated for centuries. The Piemonte Brachetto DOC designation covers the broader regional expression of this grape, distinct from the fully sparkling Brachetto d'Acqui DOCG, and Fratelli Ponte's version leans into that distinction deliberately.
Sourced from chalky soils in the San Damiano d'Asti zone, the calcareous substrate tempers Brachetto's naturally exuberant perfume, lending a flinty undercurrent to what would otherwise be purely floral aromatics. Skin maceration is held to just 6–7 hours — long enough to extract the grape's characteristic rose-petal pigment and aromatic oils, short enough to avoid tannin accumulation. Fermentation is arrested at approximately 6–6.5% ABV in temperature-controlled stainless steel, preserving residual sugar and the grape's native muscat-adjacent fragrance without the full effervescence of Acqui-style production. What makes this expression unusual: at this ABV and sugar level, it occupies a frizzante-adjacent register that no dry rosé and no fully sparkling Brachetto quite replicates — a structural category of its own. Drink young, within 1–2 years of vintage, to capture peak aromatic lift.
