Pink Moscato
฿
Banrock Station was established in 1994 on a rehabilitated wetland property along the Murray River in South Australia's Riverland, where the winery directs a portion of every bottle sold toward conservation of the surrounding floodplain habitat — a commercial model that tied environmental stewardship directly to production scale from day one.
Riverland's flat, irrigated alluvial flats deliver high-yielding, fruit-forward Moscato with naturally elevated sugar levels, the warm continental climate and sandy loam soils over clay pushing ripe stone-fruit and floral character rather than structural complexity.
The Pink Moscato is harvested early to preserve natural acidity and residual sugar, then cold-fermented at low temperature to arrest fermentation and retain aromatic volatile compounds — a technique that keeps alcohol low (typically around 7% ABV) while maintaining a lightly sparkling, semi-sweet profile. No oak contact is used at any stage.
What separates this expression from still rosé at the same price point is its deliberate frizzante-style effervescence, achieved without secondary fermentation, giving textural lift that dry Riverland rosés at this tier do not offer.
Designed for early consumption; no aging upside. Drink within 12 months of vintage for peak aromatic freshness.
