The spirit is distilled from malted barley in copper pot stills and condenses through worm tubs—a slower, more copper-contact-intensive method than modern condensers—which contributes subtle oxidative complexity. No chill filtration is applied, preserving fatty acids and volatile compounds.

The 2025 F26 Special Releases iteration represents Oban's core expression, bottled at 43% ABV. Coastal peat smoke—sourced from local Islay-adjacent fuel—mingles with honey, orange zest, and a saline minerality that recalls the distillery's seaside location.
