Johnnie Walker Blue Label Chinese New Year Of Horse (750 ml)
฿9,999
John Walker's original insight — borrowed from his Kilmarnock tea trade — was that blending across Scotland's regions could eliminate the batch variation that plagued single-cask whisky. Blue Label is where that philosophy reaches its most selective expression: only 1 in every 10,000 casks in Diageo's reserve of approximately 10 million barrels qualifies, hand-assessed by the blending team before selection. The blend draws from distilleries spanning all four major Scottish regions: Cardhu (Speyside) anchors the honeyed fruit core, Caol Ila (Islay) threads clean maritime peat through the mid-palate, and Clynelish (Highland) contributes its signature waxy coastal depth — a triptych no single-region producer can replicate. Occasional contributions from permanently silent 'ghost distilleries' such as Brora and Port Ellen (as seen in the Ghost & Rare series) mean Blue Label is one of the only commercially available vehicles for tasting whisky from closed sites. Bottled at 40% ABV, chill-filtered, non-vintage, the recipe is a trade secret that shifts by batch. The Year of the Horse limited edition packages this rare-cask blend in a collectible format, making it simultaneously a drinking whisky and a culturally significant shelf piece for Lunar New Year.
