Johnnie Walker Blue Label Chinese New Year Of The Snake (750 ml)
฿9,999
When John Walker opened his Kilmarnock grocery in 1820, his tea-blending instinct — that cross-regional sourcing eliminates batch variation — became the founding logic of the world's most architecturally complex blended Scotch house. Blue Label is where that logic reaches its most selective expression: only 1 in every 10,000 casks in Diageo's reserve of approximately 10 million oak vessels qualifies, hand-approved by the blending team on individual cask analysis before selection.
The blend draws from Diageo's pan-Scotland distillery network: Cardhu (Speyside) anchors the honeyed fruit core; Caol Ila (Islay) threads clean maritime peat smoke through the mid-palate; Clynelish (Highland) contributes its signature waxy coastal depth — a tripartite architecture no single-region producer can replicate. Occasional contributions from permanently silent 'ghost distilleries' such as Brora and Port Ellen (as seen in the Ghost & Rare series) make Blue Label one of the only commercially available vehicles for historically extinct Scotch whisky character.
Bottled at 40% ABV, chill-filtered, in ex-bourbon American oak and ex-Sherry European oak matured components — exact cask split undisclosed. The Chinese New Year of the Snake limited edition presents identical liquid in a collector-grade commemorative decanter, making it a culturally specific release with no reformulation from the standard Blue Label blend.
