Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ice Chalet (Limited Edition) (750 ml)
฿15,999
When John Walker opened his Kilmarnock grocery in 1820, his tea-trade instinct — that blending across origins eliminates batch variation — became the founding logic of an entire category. Blue Label is where that logic reaches its most selective expression: only 1 in every 10,000 casks in Diageo's reserve of approximately 10 million barrels qualifies, a threshold that routinely pulls in whiskies from permanently closed 'ghost' distilleries such as Brora and Port Ellen, making each batch a historically unrepeatable document.
The blend draws from all four Scottish regions — Cardhu (Speyside) for honeyed fruit at the heart, Caol Ila (Islay) for clean maritime peat, Clynelish (Highland) for waxy coastal depth, and Lowland grain distilleries for structural lift — a pan-Scotland architecture that no single-region producer can replicate. Casks are predominantly ex-bourbon American oak and ex-Sherry European oak; exact split is undisclosed, but the selection protocol demands individual cask analysis and approval by the blending team before any parcel enters the vatting.
Bottled at 40% ABV, chill-filtered, and presented here in the Ice Chalet limited-edition livery — the special feature is the ghost-distillery access: Blue Label remains one of the only commercially available vehicles for tasting whisky from distilleries that no longer exist, a collector's proposition entirely separate from its luxury positioning. Non-vintage by design; drinking window is open-ended.
