Johnnie Walker & Son King George V Chinese New Year Of The Rabbit by Angel Chen (750 ml)
฿24,999
John Walker & Sons' King George V expression takes its name from the royal warrant granted to the Walker family — a designation reserved for the most rarefied tier of the blending house's output, drawing hand-selected casks from across Diageo's pan-Scotland network including whiskies from permanently closed 'ghost' distilleries. This is the same collector category that houses the Ghost & Rare series, making it one of the only commercially available vehicles for tasting whisky from distilleries that no longer exist. The blend's architecture follows the house's defining three-pillar structure: Cardhu (Speyside) for honeyed fruit-forward sweetness, Caol Ila (Islay) for clean maritime peat, and Clynelish (Highland) for waxy coastal depth — a combination structurally impossible to replicate from any single region. Maturation draws on ex-bourbon American oak and ex-Sherry European oak casks, hand-approved by the blending team from a reserve of approximately 10 million casks; only 1 in 10,000 casks qualifies for this tier. The 2023 Chinese New Year of the Rabbit edition features a collector vessel designed by Shanghai-born designer Angel Chen, whose graphic language fuses Lunar New Year iconography with the brand's striding figure — making this a culturally specific, single-run release that will not be repeated. Bottled at 40% ABV, chill-filtered, non-vintage.
