Johnnie Walker Blue Label Chinese New year Of The Pig (750 ml)
฿8,999
When John Walker opened his Kilmarnock grocery in 1820, his tea-merchant instinct — blend across origins to eliminate batch variation — became the founding logic of the world's most recognised blended Scotch house. Blue Label is where that philosophy reaches its most selective expression: only 1 cask in every 10,000 assessed by the blending team qualifies, a threshold that opens the door to whiskies from Diageo's rarest reserves, including occasional parcels from permanently silent 'ghost' distilleries such as Brora and Port Ellen. The blend draws from malt distilleries spanning all four major Scottish regions: Cardhu (Speyside) for honeyed fruit at the core, Caol Ila (Islay) for clean maritime peat, and Clynelish (Highland) for waxy coastal depth — a pan-Scotland architecture no single-region producer can replicate. Maturation relies on ex-bourbon American oak and ex-Sherry European oak casks; the exact split remains a trade secret, though the interplay of vanilla-rich bourbon wood against dried-fruit Sherry influence is the structural engine of Blue Label's density. Bottled at 40% ABV and chill-filtered, the standard Blue Label formula is unchanged here — what distinguishes this release is the limited Year of the Pig commemorative vessel, positioning it as both a collectible and a whisky of genuine rarity provenance. No vintage is declared; consistency across batches is a deliberate house doctrine, not a limitation.
